Take a few moments to prepare your home to look its best before the shoot!
How to prepare for a real estate photoshoot:
Exterior of the home:
Remove cars from the driveway
Close all windows and garage doors
Sweep walkways
Put toys, bicycles, etc away
Stow garden tools, garden hoses, landscaping supplies
Straighten and arrange outdoor furniture
Mow the grass, pull weeds, etc.
Remove yard signs (i.e. security signs, for sale, school signs, decor)
Interior - Kitchen:
Clear countertops of clutter, including small appliances, cooking utensils, dog bowls, fridge magnets, etc.
Clean outside of refrigerator
Store food items
Hide garbage can
Remove dishes from sink
Store soap dispensers, sponges, etc.
Remove dish towels, pot holders, etc.
Interior - General:
Turn on all lights
Turn off all ceiling fans
Remove all personal items/photos
Remove all visible clutter
Open shades/blinds
Replace burned out/mismatched lightbulbs
Tidy up/put away toys, clothes, pet dishes, dog beds, etc.
Vaccuum/sweep floors
Turn off TVs, computer screens, etc.
Straighten furniture
Make sure pets are safely out of all photos
Interior - Bedrooms:
Make the beds
Remove all clutter from dresser/nightstands
Remove personal items
Store/hide cords and chargers
Interior - Bathrooms:
Clear countertops of all toiletries
Clean mirrors
Put toilet seat down
Remove soap, shampoo, etc from showers
Remove dirty towels and floor mats
Remove plungers, cleaning items, trash cans
